The lights dimmed for Apple’s iPad, the iPad, a 3:4 screen with basic computer features, announcement in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, journalists around the world tweeted, blogged and texted even the most mundane details to an eager worldwide audience.
But BestBuy Managers aren’t sure if or when the stores would carry the new iPad. Same goes for Walmart, Radio Shack and other retailers eager to stock up on the new must have gadget of the season.
The iPad is arguably the next big thing to happen to tech and gadgets that may re-shape the market as we know it. Retailers such as BestBuy are anticipating a strong sales of it.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ presentation with growing excitement. In some cases, stores got calls before Mr. Jobs’ presentation even came to a close. The iPad comes in six flavors ranging in price fom $499 to $829, should hit stores within two months, Mr. Jobs said Wednesday.
The iPad isn’t intended to be compete and get lost of all to the kindle, nook and Netbooks of the world. It’s meant to be a complimentary connectivity and media device. It compliments the other digital devices in your life. It brings the power of the internet into a simplified device.
