A prayer of Grace is said to be an act of offering thanks to God for granting humans dominion over the earth and the right and ability to sacrifice the lives of divine creations for sustenance; this thanks is the “saying of Grace” prior to and/or after eating of any meal.
Thanksgiving Day is the day we need to thank God for all the things He gave to us and for all the blessings that we will continue to reap in the future.

Here are some thanksgiving prayers before meals that you can use during breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Thanksgiving Day:
Thanksgiving Prayer Before Meals 1:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this special day, a day to remember Your goodness to us.
Thank You for a roof over our heads, and more than enough food to eat.
Thank You for the family You have given to us, for family and friends who have gathered together to eat this Thanksgiving Day meal. Amen.
Thanksgiving Prayer Before Meals 2:
Dear God, I want to thank you for bringing us together on this special day. Thank you for our wonderful family and the food we have received. In your name I pray, Amen.
Thanksgiving Prayer Before Meals 3:
“O, heavenly Father: We thank thee for food and remember the hungry.
We thank thee for health and remember the sick.
We thank thee for friends and remember the friendless.
We thank thee for freedom and remember the enslaved.
May these remembrances stir us to service,
that thy gifts to us may be used for others. Amen.”
Thanksgiving Prayer Before Meals 4:
“May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!”
Thanksgiving Prayer Before Meals 5:
May the Lord accept this, our offering, and bless our food that it may bring us strength in our body, vigor in our mind and selfless devotion in our hearts for His service.” (Indian Thanksgiving Prayer)
