Just recently I was able to discover a new technology for typing over the net. It was only about a year ago when Swype launched a new form of typing which used the idea of T9 predictive typing.
So how does this technology work?
Deriving from its name, you swipe it. Pretty simple? That’s what I thought at first.
Last November 23, 2009 it was announced that the first phone to utilize this new technology would be the Samsung Omnia II on Verizon. With the recent competitions of all-in-one phones such as the iPhone and Samsung Omnia II to name a few, this new typing technology could be a new way to gather audience.
So how does it work?
The process is merely by swiping over the letters that make up the word that you are trying to form and then it will auto spell it out for you. See the video below to understand the way it works.
And so you get a pretty good view of what typing could be in our future generation of phones. But personally I still think I prefer the qwerty phones. But this is a good improvement to make the youth use proper spelling of words and actually spell out a complete word rather than using the “shortcuts” like ‘u’ instead of ‘you’.

cool technology! whoa!
