Is Oprah timing her announcement to “promote” the new animated film called The Princess and The Frog (being released in December), in which she is one of the voices?

Isn’t giving 18 months notice a bit much? Why didn’t she wait until next season to announce it?

And why are the entertainment shows and news media acting as if she is leaving tomorrow?

I find this very strange timing and the coverage entirely out of proportion with the actual event.
