Everything started when a friend of mine asked me to searched for this weird word, Nibiru. At first, i didn’t give me that much attention. I was thinking that just like any other astronomical studies and theories, the existence of this so called “12th planet” would only be one of those hoax and unproven. But as I jumped from one article to another, it slowly created a certain weird feeling inside me. A mixture of fear, excitement and depression.
According to the several articles that i’ve read, Nibiru’s connection with our past revealed in the Sumerian cosmology. The term “Nibiru” comes from the Sumerian cuneiform tablets and writings dating 5,000 years old. The term Nibiru means “Planet of the crossing”, and it’s cuneiform sign was often a cross, or various winged disc. As what the meaning says, this so called planet might have crossed million years ago in earth. A renowned historian, Hebrew scholar archeologist Zecharia Sitchin had a research and said that the Nibiru appearing in Sumerian records correctly refers to a large planetary body. His research proposes that it possesses a highly elliptical, 3630-year orbit. According to the theory, Nibiru is the 12th planet in the solar system and its catastrophic collision with Tiamat, a planet that was between Mars and Jupiter, would have formed the planet Earth, the asteroid belt, and the Moon million years ago.
Sitchin claimed that Nibiru was a home of a technologically advanced human-like alien race, the Anunnaki of Sumerian myth who survived the collision and later came to earth. Their travelling to earth was the result of their failing atmosphere (having since been drawn into our solar system from its cosmic passing, the atmosphere of Nibiru was subjected to intense external stress from our sun). They came in search of gold particles used for their reflective properties (recognized even today by NASA who plate various objects including astronaut helmet eyeshields) to place in their atmosphere. The Anunnaki (“those who from heaven came to earth” in Sumerian) came upon evolution on earth as it had been progressing for billions of years however, they desired to create a worker who could communicate and learn from them. After a slew of failed prototypes an Anunnaki goddess engineered a perfect specimen- the Adam. This was done using 80% of the Inferior specimen and 20% of the superior Anunnaki specimen. It is only recently that we understand DNA as having a double-helix nature, The Sumerians depicted their goddess creator along with snakes in a double helix form with thin bars connecting between them in a spiral fashion. The intertwined snakes are also modern day representatives for the field of medicine. Sitchin says some sources speak about the same planet, possibly being a brown dwarf star and still in a highly elliptic orbit around the Sun, with a perihelion passage some 3,600 years ago and assumed orbital period of about 3,600 to 3,760 years or 3,741 years.
Too scary to be true, it almost convinced me, but the theory remained psuedoscientific. But what is more scary is the theory that Nibiru planet would be passing again near us. Many involved in research of this kind predict a return date of Nibiru passing Earth coinciding with the Winter Solstice of 2012; specifically at 11.11 UT, 21st December 12, 2012. The prediction somehow deciphered Nostradamus’ prediction about the doom’s day. He described Nibiru as the ” Great King of Terror” coming from the sky. He predicted that astronomers would discover Nibiru’s existence and would try to destroy it before it would come near our planet producing lights in the sky. In a future, Doomsday Scenario, NASA and possibly Russia will launch specially equipped, nuclear weapons that shatter this Comet or Asteroid as it targets earth. However it rains burning fragments {meteors} upon The World. This is virtually the exact scenario we read of in Revelation, chapter 8. “The first angel sounded: and hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the Earth; and a third of the trees were burnt up, and all green grass was burned up.” Rev:8:7.
Now the Bible is involved, it scares me more. All I can say is that, may this thing be true or not, everything has an end. We just don’t know how and when. Come what may and God bless us all.
Well, Im really starting to believe this. If this is true.. I think this gives our existence more meaning, we are not alone afterall. Sumerian history actually reconciled the great religions and incorporated science into it. I cant wait for 2012! We’d be living in a starwars/startrek.. ish kind of world with the anunnakis coming. Or it could just be a dwarf star headed our way, and you cant nuke a dwarf star thats no less than the size of jupiter. I would start doing my bucketlist as early as now.

I started mine about 8 years ago. Built an earth covered home with an earth covered tunnel connecting the home to the garage(also earth covered). Great energy saver—average temp year round is 55 degrees without any source of cooling or heating. Have water well and storage in and on grid with propane and gas driven standby generators. If this does not do it—well I guess that it is mean’t to be. Of course it is in the mountains 2200 ft above sea level. Even if 2012 is a non-event, it is a great place to live! Hope and pray for the best, prepare for the worst.
Articles like this are irresponsible and frankly badly researched.
I am an astronomer. It has been proved beyond doubt that there is no Nibiru, comet planet, or planet X that will endanger or affect the earth. And you failed to realise the errors in the mythological history and history you included.

Normally i would just laugh these types of article off; but i realise now, that we all have a responsibility to protect the vulnerable, weak or gullible in our society. So again, your article contains mythological history and scientific errors.
You are mixing some different theories up together
These “anunnakis” are not simply alien creatures from another planet, they are fallen angels. They were around thousands of years ago and taught the Sumerians certain aspects of science and how to write and how to build (freemasonry started there as a result). When they do come back (very soon) they will claim to come in peace but will deceive many. Lucifer is their king.
There are horizons to our knowledge. Horizons impossible to see beyond.
Religions have long claimed, in the name of truth, that they see beyond, and you must have ‘faith’ in them… and follow blindly.
Religions are a stack of lies. A power grab. Crowd control and Politics.
Man so easily ignores that each of us has a sure date with death. Death is unavoidable. Instead, we look at things like Nibiru and gasp at the pending doom… even when unproven. I suggest we focus on the real killers: cancer, heart disease, respiratory failure, and wars… which are largely the result of the human virus called ‘religion’.

Thanks for bringing this topic up, as many people have been clued on to this theory through both conversation in the flesh and on the ‘net. However, please do more research into the matter, as many are being led astray by popular charlatains and falsehoods perpetuated by those who accept what they are told without verification.

“They” have been predicting the arrival of this supposed planet for years. First it was in the late 90s, then the early new century. Now as we conveniently approach 20102, it’s being presented that 2012 will be the year of its arrival. I wish these pseudo scientists would get their dates correct.
