Recently in the world of tech enthusiasts, people are going uber crazy over this hacked Sony VAIO UX490. This modified 2007 Sony UMPC can 4 operating systems. It can quad-boot into OS X, Windows 7, XP Pro, and Vista Business. Its specs has also be overhauled.
VAIO UX has been boosted with faster CPU and larger solid-state hard disk. It also has avoice-capable HSPA modem, which is really fantastic.
Based in Gizmodo:
The original 1.2GHz Core 2 Solo U2200 processor (which was soldered in place) has been swapped with a 1.33GHz Core 2 Duo overclocked to 1.438GHz. And the 48GB SSD is replaced with a fast RunCore ProIV 128GB SSD. Amazingly, the battery life is said to be pretty much the same.
It’s quite a buzz, I guess.

I like the pink Vaio. I think selling a pink Vaio is the best idea that Sony has ever made since it started manufacturing gadgets. Pink is a color universal to all ladies, transcending culture, race and religion. No wonder it’s such a best seller among women. – Tanya Bayo
