Okay, get this. Every teenage girl crazy over the Bella-Jacob love team would go ga-ga over Taylor Lautner’s to-die-for body. Guys around their 20s would wonder how the hell did he get that body?
Originally 140 pounds, Taylor Lautner added a whopping 30 more pounds for his bulky character: Jacob Black. To do this Yuam (Lautner’s fitness coach) developed a work out for his speedy growth in muscles. He described the work out as “build(ing) strength at frightening speed — without working like a dog.”
To give a brief summary of how to become like Taylor Lautner:
• Pushing beyond your limit Add 40% more weight than you could carry 10 times. So if you are capable of 120 pounds then carry 170 pounds
• Volume variation. Change your weights. Don’t stick to a certain weight only. The more your muscles are put in situations where they need to adapt a lot then the more they will develop.
• Not too much on the cardio. Don’t do more than 20 minutes of cardio before and after weight lifting. It uses up all the strength needed for weight lifting.
• Not too much ab work out. Don’t exhaust your abdominal muscles. Just like any muscle in the body, it needs rest. Working it out too much will result in no significant abs growth.
• Sidestep. A lot of weightlifting routines utilize moving forward or backward; thus not utilizing other directions. do side-to-side routines apart from the usual lifts.
• Take time to recover. Never work out for more than 5 days a week. Give it a rest on the third day. “If you constantly pound your muscles, they’ll never have time to repair.”
