More international rescue teams, medical supplies, food and clean water are arriving in Port-au-Prince late Friday to help the victims of Tuesday’s earthquake in Haiti. The big problem though is how to bring the supplies to people. Cargo and passenger planes continue to come night and day at Port-au-Prince, the staging ground for what has becoming an increasingly large international effort to help the country from recovering the devastating earthquake.
Also Google announced Thursday it will donate $1 million USD to help victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti. Google also created a Web page devoted to linking people with charitable groups including Direct Relief, Yele Haiti, the Red Cross, and Doctors Without Borders. And just recently Bill Clinton emerged as one of the champion for Haitians, mobilizing an estimated US$200 million in aid to Haiti through his Clinton Foundation.
As the Haiti death toll rises, all people from across the globe are in prayer for the remaining survivors of the tragic natural disaster.
