Google Soon to Launch Google Broadband Using Google Fiber Network – Search Engine King Google plans to launch another service with its new Google Broadband internet services. After the successful launch of Google’s Nexus One phone and Google Buzz, Google Broadband is the next target of Google.
In one of its latest posts in its Google Official Blog Site, Google announced today that Google Inc. is planning to build its own Google Broadband fiber network and offer service at competitive prices to selected areas across the USA. A lot of broadband customers are now looking forward to shift into this new broadband service offered by Google.
Google Inc plans to offer the ultra high speed broadband Internet infrastructure service, up to 1 gigabyte per second, at a competitive price to at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people. With that speed, the Google Broadband service will give a whole new meaning to the traditional broadband services. The plan is to build and test Google broadband by offering the service to 50,000 people, and eventually up to 500,000 people.
As early as now, a lot of American are looking forward as to which states this Google Broadband will be offered. However, at the moment, Google is calling upon communities to express interest in participating in the Google Broadband trial. That window will remain open until March 26; Google says it’ll then go through the submissions, make some on-site visits, and ultimately announce the cities it’s selected sometime later this year.
In choosing which states to install its Google Broadband services, Google says it’ll look for areas in which its fiber networks could be installed quickly and efficiently. The company will also consider how much community support has been expressed, what kind of resources are available, how weather conditions might affect progress, and how local regulations might play into the plans.
Google owns its own vast network fibers around the globe to connect its data centers, speed up search, and lower its cost of streaming billions of videos a month on YouTube. With this Google Broadband project, Google is taking its first step in connecting that fiber backbone to consumer’s homes.
Let’s just wait for more announcement coming from Google.

Hopefully Google launches this one. I’ll be the first one to subscribe for this! Lol.
Great blog. I’m sure I’ll be back here in a few days.
As long as your service provider is reliable then broadband should be a joy to use but if they are a bunch of hacks, then it will be expensive and not deliver on any of the promises made when you signed on for the service.
