College Football Recruiting – Demar Dorsey – The elite defensive back, Demar Dorsey was recruited by Michigan and head coach Rich Rodriguez has got something to say about the critics.
Way back in 2008, the 16-year-old then Demar Dorsey was charged with two felonies in Florida’s Broward County. Dorsey was charged with robbery and carrying of deadly weapon. Dorsey was arrested on July 21, 2008 and was acquitted during a November trial.
Quoting Rich Rodriquez:
“I don’t think it’s fair to the young man and his family to pass judgments on something before you know the whole story. As a coach we get a chance to go visit these kids at the school, at their home and have them come up here and spend a weekend. You get to know them; certainly you get enough time to research and learn the whole story, not just what somebody’s written out there.”
Mark James, Demar Dorsey’s coach in Boyd Anderson High School, considers Dorsey as the best overall athlete in the nation. He’s got speed, quickness and can perform well on both offense and defense.
