Brock Lesnar has returned home after having surgery for an infection in his intestinal tract. The minor surgery will correct his intestinal disorder which is Mononucleosis. Larry Novotny, a friend of Lesnar, said that the UFC champion might undergo further surgery; but it depends on the healing process.

A critical decision will be made by Lesnar if he wants to continue to fight. If you still remember Lesnar was forced not to be on the UFC 106 because of the said illness, because of that, he can’t defend his title against the undefeated Shane Carwin. He also sent a message for his fans through Novotny, confirming that he is not dead and actually he is fine and feeling better.

I think it was diverticulitis, which perforated causing (one would assume) caused leakage, not into the stomach, but the abdominal cavity. This in turn caused some abcessing, accordin to one report. Often when there is leakage like that it causes a conditio called peritonitis. They said mono – but if he had that it was another disease caused by weakened immunity, not directly caused by the perforation of the intestine.
I sure hope he gets better. He is a very good fighter, and it would be a shame if we weren’t able to see just how good he would be, once he had a couple more years experience in MMA.
