It was reported last October 2009 that the company AT&T’s quarterly revenues increased by 1.2% from traditional landlines and so as well with the increase in wireless revenues. AT&T now showed a monthly bills by contract customer up of 3.8% to $61.23. The company’s total wireless subscribers, in short, increased by two million during the 3rd quarter to 8.61 million from the preceding quarter, that is larger than the first tw0 quarters of the year. It was also showed that there are about 3.2 million of Apple Inc’s iPhone new application activation and since iPhone became popular in the market because of its innovative features launching and price cut of older version, it helps a lot to increase the company’s wireless revenues.
It was successfully achieved that the company won the taste of all the subscribers rather than its rivals because of its exclusive arrangement with Apple, and that is to distribute and sell the fascinated and innovated iPhone, which is scheduled to end of next year.
The wireless chief for AT&T, Ralph de la Vega, said “What we see is people signing up for data plans in records number”. As to date, AT&T is considered as the second largest wireless operator by number of subscribers in the country next to Verizon. This year the number of employees was decreased by 18,000 from a total number of 302,600.
Now the cause of AT&T down is still undetermined and we wish that everything will be alright and services will be restored as soon as possible.
