The owners of the Detroit-based American Jewelry and Loan will star in a new TruTv show set to premiere on Dec. 21. The father and son Les and Seth Gold along with sister Ashley Broad will be featured in “Hardcore Pawn”, as they run a busy pawn shop.
“What we’re trying to portray is what an actual pawn shop really does,” said Les. “We’re dealing with real people.”
This pawn shop has seen a spike in loan transactions and retail sales as the economy has worsened. Housed in a 50,000-square-foot converted bowling alley, the company ended last year with about $ 4 million in retail sales, with about 600 transactions a day. Also, they become popular, they already have 17,000 fans in Facebook and Nixon said that they should have their own Facebook or Twitter because they need to have some sort of Web presence.”
“Hardcore Pawn” will air Monday, Dec. 21, at 11 p.m. on TruTV.
