ABC dancing with the Stars 2009: Mya brought the house down after she scored three points away from perfect in the finals night of the competition on Monday. After her stint, she’s now a few dance steps away from taking this year’s “Dancing with the Stars” title. “I haven’t worked this hard for this long not to win this thing,” said Mya on her interview last Monday. “That trophy is mine.” This shows that she’s indeed aiming in getting that most longed trophy.
The singer scored 87 out of 90 points for the three dances she did with professional partner Dmitry Chaplin. The pair received a perfect score for their paso doble and topped the other contenders during the megamix challenge. The only thing which pulled her away from perfection was her “Hairspray”-themed freestyle dance which did not please the judges much.
According to the judges, they were expecting to see more that what Mya has shown. But nonetheless, she topped all other challengers in the competition.
